The Long Beach Jewish Film Festival provides a window to the Jewish experience and allows us to explore contemporary and historical themes in many different global settings.

This year, we will be kicking off the Festival with screenings of five great Jewish-themed films. Deepen your understanding of the films with special events and guest speakers.

Long Beach Jewish Film Festival: Premiere Night - 6:00pm - 9:00pm

Walk the red carpet at the premiere of the 20th Long Beach Jewish Film Festival! Enjoy Gourmet Popcorn, Signature Drinks, Desserts, and Live Music!

Thurday, January 18, 2024:

Long Beach Jewish Film Festival: The Story Annette Zelman - 7:00pm - 9:00pm

Join us for the film, The Story of Annette Zelman.

She was Jewish. He was Catholic. Annette and Jean wanted to get married, but Jean’s parents were opposed. Annette Zelman was reported to the Gestapo by her fiancé’s father and was sent to Auschwitz. Based on a true story. (Menemsha Films).

Saturday, January 20, 2024:

Long Beach Jewish Film Festival: Q and A with Matchmaker - 6:00pm - 9:30pm

A pre-film cocktail hour with signature drinks, snacks, and music. Following the cocktail hour, enjoy the film, Matchmaking, starting at 7 PM.

Stay after the film for a Q&A Discussion with Julia Bendis. Bendis has been a matchmaker for 20 years and is a relationship coach, author, and founder of Match by Julia.

Sunday, January 21, 2024:

Long Beach Jewish Film Festival: Farewell, Mr. Haffman - 1:00pm - 3:00pm

Join us for the film, Farewell, Mr. Haffman, starting at 1 PM.

After the Nazi occupation of Paris, a talented jeweler, Joseph Haffmann, arranges for his family to flee the city and offers one of his employees the chance to take over his store until the conflict subsides. (IMDB)

Long Beach Jewish Film Festival: Closing Night - 3:00pm - 6:00pm

Celebrate the closing of the 20th Long Beach Jewish Film Festival! Enjoy Gourmet Coffee and Smoothie Truck, Dessert Bar, and Live Music

Following the Closing Night Reception, enjoy the final film of the festival, My Father’s Secrets, starting at 4 PM.
