Hello art lovers!

There is lots going on around town this week. Keep scrolling for more info.

"Together We Will..." Featured on News 12!

Did you catch our Executive Director Johnny Thornton on News 12 this past Sunday? He and Mickey Heller, the Chair of Brooklyn Pride, spoke to reporter Julio Avila about "Together We Will...," the outdoor art exhibition celebrating Brooklyn's LGBTQIA+ community.

In honor of Pride month, Arts Gowanus partnered with Brooklyn Pride and The Old Stone House & Washington Park to present "Together We Will...," a public art exhibit featuring 100+ works by Brooklyn-based LGBTQIA+ artists that celebrate their community.

All of the works are printed on vinyl banners and include a brief description of the piece. The banners will be displayed on the fence surrounding The Old Stone House & Washington Park/J.J. Byrne Playground throughout the summer until August 31st.

Along with Mickey, jurors Kyle NaffOluwakemi OritsejaforAriel Sanders, and Eric Sosa helped select the final works on display. The original version of each artwork is available for purchase at artsgowanus.org.

Happy Brooklyn Pride Week!
