Your Generosity Makes a Difference

Your support made this year's Big Day of Giving our most successful campaign ever. Thanks to you, we exceeded our fundraising goal and will continue to provide much needed support to the most vulnerable in our community. Children from families living below the poverty line will have art and school supplies. Foster youth and homeless families will have much needed housing supplies to begin their new lives. Your generosity is critical to our ability to help strengthen our community and transform the lives of those who need our support.

Westamerica Bank, Recipient of the National Operation School Bell® Award
The Operation School Bell Award is presented by National Assistance League®. Its purpose is to honor those in a community who, through significant financial, in-kind, or service support, have had a direct, powerful, and positive impact on Assistance League's Operation School Bell program.
The Sacramento chapter was honored to present this award to Westamerica Bank, a northern California financial institution serving Sacramento, the Sacramento Valley, and the San Francisco Bay Area, The bank has supported the Sacramento chapter each year since 2009 with grants for the Operation School Bell program. They have helped provide school uniforms, underwear, and shoes, as well as provided critical support to the literacy component of our program.

15 New Scholarship Recipients
Granted $51,000
Since inception, Assistance League of Sacramento has presented 176 scholarships to local community college students pursuing their educational goals. These students have overcome, or are still dealing with, life circumstances more difficult than most while attending college, raising families, and holding jobs. We are proud of the outcomes that this program produces, as it allows individuals to improve their lives, reinforces that they are recognized for their accomplishments, as well as allows them to be significant role models for their children and the community.
