March 15, 2023

This weather has sure has made getting out for a run without getting soaked difficult.

The good news is that the current forecast is calling for a balmy high of 63 with a little sun and (knocking on wood) no rain at our races on Saturday at Coyote Hills.  And we are very much looking forward to celebrating the passing of this storm with a few hundred of our Brazen friends!

As covered in our previous email, the normal location of Del Valle in Livermore had to be cancelled due to extreme weather leaving the trails unsafe and unusable (park was partially opened last week but is now again 100% closed to the public).  Normally this would just result in the outright cancellation of the event, but the East Bay Regional Parks District has been exceptionally helpful in providing us with a different venue so that the race can go on.  While we also love our "flat and fast" parks, we are fortunate to be able to replace Del Valle with Coyote Hills, thus still giving our Badger Cove runners some nice hills and beautiful views.

If you are already registered for Saturday's event, you have probably seen a few emails reminding you of the location change. You will probably see a few more as we do everything possible to get the word out.

If you haven't signed up, but have had enough with staying indoors/running cold and wet, you can still come join us on Saturday!

Stay warm and as dry as you can out there!  We hope to see you soon!
