RE: 2022 CALIFORNIA CODE OF REGULATIONS TITLE 24 - EFFECTIVE DATE JANUARY 1, 2023

The state updates the California Code of Regulations on a triannual cycle. The current edition is the 2019 California Code of Regulations. The New 2022 California Building Standards Code will go into effect on Jan 1, 2023. All construction project applications submitted on or after that date must confirm to the new regulations. 

ALL BUILDING APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED BEFORE DECEMBER 31, 2022, MUST BE DEEMED COMPLETE BY BUILDING STAFF BY DECEMBER 31, 2022, TO BE APPLICABLE TO UTILIZE THE 2019 CALIFORNIA CODE OF REGULATIONS TITLE 24. ANY BUILDING PERMITS SUBMITTED ON AND AFTER JANUARY 1, 2023, WILL BE ADHERED TO THE NEW 2022 CALIFORNIA CODE OF REGULATIONS TITLE 24.
