Winter Classes Open

Register Today!

New winter classes start in January! Don’t miss out, register today! There are over 100 different classes for youth, teens, adults, and seniors. Explore new hobbies and interests at our beautiful Crown Valley Community Center.

Classes starting the first two weeks in January include:

- Art & Creativity for Kids
- Karate & Aiki Ju-Jitsu for Youth & Adults
- Manners, Character, and Social Skills “Foundations”
- Super Soccer Stars
- Belly Dancing Level 1 & Level 2
- Skyhawks Multi-Sport

Partial Closure at

Sea Country Senior & Community Center

Tuesday, Jan. 3

The Sea Country Senior and Community Center will be conducting a partial closure of the center due to construction beginning Tuesday, January 3, 2023. The Yosemite entrance and Yosemite ballroom (this will include the Yosemite side of the building) will remain closed during the month of January.

Please check back in February for opening/completion.

Traveling Can Boost Your Health:

Exploring South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Botswana

Virtual Travel Talks delivers an in-depth, personalized sightseeing experience of some of the most beautiful sites in the world. Expertly narrated by Nino Mohan, photographer and avid world traveler, each slide show takes a deep dive into the exploration of travel destinations that most are unable to see in person in these times.

Junior Civic Workshop

Tuesday, Jan. 10, 6pm - 7pm

FREE

Learn about your local government, including how your City operates and collaborates with other agencies to provide the community with essential services. All 6th to 8th graders are welcome!

For all in person workshops, please arrive by 6:15pm and bring something to write on. You will receive one community service hour for each workshop you attend.

January's workshop is in partnership with the Orange County Fire Authority.

Mobile Library

Did you know that reading to your children can promote imagination and creativity, cultivating a lifelong love for reading?

Join us for story time with the OCPL’s Mobile Library! While you’re here, get a library card, use a hotspot, access information & resources, check out books, and more! This FREE activity will take place from 10am-12pm at the Crown Valley Community Center. Story time will start at 10:30am.

Trivia Day

Monday, Jan. 23 @ 2pm

Join us for an intellectual afternoon of trivia with your fellow seniors at the Sea Country Senior and Community Center!

Test your knowledge of the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's and compete to win a special prize. Participate or just watch-just make sure to register. Refreshments will be served.

Wellness Workshop

Wednesday, Jan. 25, 5pm - 6pm

Join us this year for all new Wellness Workshops on Wednesdays from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. You will have the opportunity to learn about mental wellness and take away tools and tips to help you in your daily life.

January's workshop is titled "New Year's Resolution: Take Care of Your Mental Health".

Recommended for 7th to 12th graders (ages 12+). You can earn one community service hour per workshop.

Friday Flix, Downton Abbey: A New Era

Join us at the Sea Country Senior and Community Center for our first Friday Fliz of the year! We will be screening Downton Abbey: A New Era (2022) PG 2hr, 5 min.

Doors open at 1pm and film starts tentatively at 1:10pm approximately.

Crown Valley Park Cleanup!

Saturday, Feb. 11, 10am - 12pm

FREE

Keep our city clean and beautiful by joining us for a volunteer park cleanup at Crown Valley Park!

Volunteers must bring a signed release waiver and check in at Crown Valley Community Center. Parents/Guardians must accompany volunteers 12 years and under. Service hours will be provided at this event.

Supplies, water, and snacks provided.
