Clubs and Organizations

April 18, 2023

From: Cultural Alliance Of Fairfield County

The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County and Metro Art Studios announce on April 13th, a partnership to produce a series of monthly in-person practical workshops for artists, by artists, in our coastal Fairfield County area.

Starting Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at 5:30pm, ArtistWorkLab will present a free workshop series for creatives of all types, the first Wednesday of each month, in person, at the Crown Gallery of Metro Art Studios, in Bridgeport. The series is designed to encourage a creative community where artists can learn, grow, and share their everyday questions, challenges, and successes. All creatives and creative entrepreneurs are encouraged to join - artists, writers, musicians, dancers, actors, and more!

Topics chosen for the workshops, run by artists themselves as well as by experts in the field, were chosen for their relevance to key areas where creatives need expert advice, and the experience of their peers, in guiding them forward to success in their creative endeavors.

Cultural Alliance Executive Director, David Green, commented, "This is a tremendous opportunity for us to demonstrate our commitment to creating community among the artists of Fairfield County and to join with one of the most creative and fertile artists' spaces in our region. We are very pleased about being able to partner with Metro in this new endeavor."

Metro Art Studios Executive Director Jane Davila said, "The launch of the Artist WorkLab is the realization of a project years in the planning. Metro’s commitment to helping all artists thrive is matched by the Cultural Alliance’s unparalleled support of the artists of Fairfield County. We are delighted to partner with the Cultural Alliance and look forward to the entire greater artist community growing and learning together."

Save First Wednesdays of every month, starting May 3, 2023, for this fun and enlightening series to learn from experts and your fellow artists. NOTE: No meeting in July. Learn more at https://culturalalliancefc.org/programs/artists/

Artists are invited to stay after the Artist WorkLab for The Creative Collective: an artist gathering to connect, devise, collaborate, and vibe. This will be a safe space for creatives to share their art with fellow creatives and gain inspiration at the same time. All disciplines are welcome.
