Hear from Five President Finalists at the President Open Forum March 29

Following a national search, five finalists have been selected for the position of President at Cypress College. The finalists will participate in an open forum at Cypress College that will be recorded for public viewing.

When: Wednesday, March 29 @ 9:30 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.

Feedback will be collected and shared with the NOCCCD Board of Trustees and Chancellor at noon on March 30, 2023. The interview process will conclude on April 1, 2023, and the NOCCCD Board of Trustees and Chancellor will make every effort to finalize the process and announce their decision shortly thereafter.

Learn Tips & Tricks for Managing Credit @ This Week's Financial Literacy Workshop

Cypress College has partnered with The Babson Financial Literacy Project to host a series of workshops to provide information on how to become more financially literate and manage your financial future. Registration links for each workshop are linked below:

Tips & Tricks for Managing Credit | March 29 @ 12–1 p.m.

Credit cards can offer many benefits but also create stress. This workshop will help you learn to manage your credit cards and avoid fees and traps. You will also learn about credit reports and credit scores and what steps you can take to improve your financial standing.

Getting Started with Investing  | April 14 @ 12–1:30 p.m.

Do you want to begin investing but don't know where to start? This fun and interactive workshop will help you learn about stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and ETFs and how to choose investments that make sense for you.

Understanding Your Paycheck | April 26 @ 12–1 p

Do you wonder how taxes, health insurance, and retirement savings affect your take-home pay or how your status as self-employed or an employee impacts your earnings? This workshop will help you understand paycheck deductions and the financial implications of your job options.

Foundation Scholarships Application Due in One Week

The 2023 Foundation Scholarships Application deadline is fast approaching so we encourage you to complete your application and gather necessary letters of recommendation now!

Applications are due Monday, April 3, by 9 p.m. PDT

While each scholarship has unique criteria, you need only fill out this single application to be considered for all Foundation scholarships. Be sure to fill out the application carefully and completely.
