The largest Independence Day Celebration west of the Mississippi!

Launched in 1904, the first Huntington Beach 4th of July celebration commemorated the arrival of the first electric passenger train linking the area with Long Beach and Los Angeles, attracting 50,000 people to the celebration.

118 years later, the annual tradition annually attracts more than 500,000 attendees over 4 days of programming and is the largest 4th of July celebration west of the Mississippi.

Variety of Thrilling Carnival Rides & Games for All Ages. Minimum height requirement 36 inches on many Kiddy Rides to ride alone. Giant Ferris Wheel, Starship, Carousel, Fun House, Airplane Ride Super Slide, Tornado And Many More Rides.

4th of July Surf City 5K Run

The Surf City Run 5K in Huntington Beach takes place along the historic route of Main Street and Pacific Coast Highway. Come out and enjoy an 'All-American' start to this terrific Holiday by running along our parade route, see the famous pier, and beautiful Pacific Ocean before a gentle sloping return to Worthy Park for the finish.

The traditional Main Street Parade is BACK in 2022!

To submit an application to enter your float or organization, please click the Parade Application button below. Prior to submitting your application, we highly recommend you read the Parade Float Operators Letter & Checklist.

Once your application is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to pay the required entry fee. Entries will not be accepted into the parade without a completed application, script and paid entry fee.

Fireworks Over The Ocean

The annual 4th of July Fireworks Over The Ocean, presented by Mr Robert Mayer and Family, will take place on Monday, July 4th in the evening.
Tickets for reserved Pier seating and VIP options are available.

Decorating Contest

Main St Home and City Wide Decorating Contest is Back
Let the Fun Begin!
Judging will be on Sunday, July 3rd beginning at noon.
Awards to be handed out starling at 6 pm on July 3rd at the winning homes
