2023 was filled with abundance. We hosted brand new professional development programs and events, brought on fourteen new fiscally sponsored members, thirteen coworking members, and three new employees. We ran three cohort programs: Incubate to Accelerate, Artist-In-Residence and Arts Finance Empowerment Camp. We hosted SF Open Studios for the first time, and held our Annual Member Gathering for the first time in three years. Learn more about these exciting accomplishments below!

2023 Program Highlights

We presented Incubate to Accelerate, a hybrid version of our Accelerator. This iteration of the program was crafted specifically for emerging artists, arts administrators, recent college graduates, start-up collaborators, and anyone who wears multiple hats in the arts. Twenty-three creative participants graduated from this ten-week course. Learn more about Incubate to Accelerate here.

We launched our Artist in Residence (AIR) Program, created to amplify the work of our members and activate our space at 1446 Market Street. From January 1 — June 30, 2023, six resident artists received professional development resources, workspace and a stipend to grow their practice. Learn more about the AIR program here.

In November, we hosted artists during SF Open Studios (SFOS) for the first time! SFOS, a beloved annual tradition since 1975, is a citywide initiative for artists to engage with the community. We can't wait to host SFOS again next year! Learn more here.

Presented by Yesenia Sanchez, the Arts Finance Empowerment Camp (AFEC) is a cohort learning program for individual arts workers, administrators, managers, and board members to gain financial literacy and develop your skills in a safe, supportive and collaborative environment. Learn more about AFEC here.
