Litchfield Jazz Camp is happy to announce its first-ever talent competition. The LITCHFIELD JAZZ CAMP TALENT SEARCH is open to students 13 to 17, on all instruments and vocals. Entrants will compete to win scholarships for our 28^th annual summer of jazz education at its finest.

THIS DOES NOT REPLACE OUR REGULAR NEED-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS. IT IS AN ADDITION TO THEM!

We ask you all to submit a video playing Billie’s Bounce to make comparisons fair. The video must include the melody followed by a 3-chorus solo with a live band. Band size can range from duet to quartet. If you can’t put a band together, you can use a clicktrack. The deadline for video submission is February 1. We plan to select up to 30 finalists from all the applications.

Finalists will be invited to perform for a distinguished panel of judges on March 2, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the Litchfield Community Center (421 Bantam Road) in Litchfield CT. A professional piano trio will accompany each finalist. Families are welcome to attend. There is no charge for this. Light refreshments will be served.

Complete and submit the application on our website accompanied by a $30 registration fee. We will waive the fee for families earning less than 50K/yr (they just need to call our office at 860-361-6285 to request a waiver).
