October is on fire for Carl Shubs’ photo exhibitions

I know that October is an autumn month, but this year it’s on fire for my photos, and I’m super excited and honored for it.

First, chronologically, is The Curated Fridge.

The idea behind the Curated Fridge is to celebrate fine art photography–through its curated shows−connecting artists around the globe.

TCF’s Autumn 2022 Show, Open Theme, was curated by Donna Garcia, a curator, lens-based artist, educator, podcaster and editorial photographer based in Atlanta, GA.

She is the Executive Director of the Atlanta Photography Group and Gallery in Atlanta, a contributing editor for Lenscratch, and co-host/co-founder of the Modern Art and Culture Podcast.

OPENING October 15, 2022

Next, I'm delighted that one of my photos have been selected for PH21 Gallery's exhibition, Portraits Without Faces, in Budapest, Hungary. https://www.facebook.com/Ph21Gallery/

An international photography exhibition, curated by Zsolt Bátori and Borbála Jász.

RUNS:  October 20 – November 12, 2022

WHERE: PH21 Gallery

55 Ráday St.

Budapest, Hungary

Please visit their website to view all the selected pieces:

“We usually assume that faces are necessary components of portraiture; we may, however, learn just as much about the character, the personality of a person by looking at images that depict other parts of their bodies, show us the objects or places associated with them. Not focusing on the face may open up a new dimension of interpretation. Our Portraits Without Faces exhibition is dedicated to this challenging divergence from the more conventional approaches to the genre.”

Finally, I’m excited to let you know that one of my photos, “Woman and Shadows Modeling,” will be shown in the Stelio Crise State Library of Trieste, Italy, part of the 9th edition of the Photography festival and URBAN 2022 Photo Awards in Trieste Photo Days, running from October 28-30.
