TEMPORARY CLOSURE DURING ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT

We have reached the final phase of the library roof replacement project! To receive updates on this project and the temporary April 17 through May 15 closure, please follow the Library Roof Replacement Project article.

Sidewalk Service and Phone/Email Service Hours Starting April 17: 

  • Monday-Thursday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. 
  • Friday-Saturday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. 
  • Sunday: 1 p.m.-5 p.m.

INDUCTION COOKTOP LENDING PROGRAM

This Earth Month, try cleaner and greener cooking with the Induction Cooktop Lending Program!

Reservation and use of cooktops is free of charge and open to all Pleasanton residents over 18. A waiver is required prior to checkout of the induction cooktop.

Whether you want to reduce your carbon footprint, give back through volunteering, or practice sustainable habits, the Library and Recreation Department's Alviso Adobe team has you covered!

On-site Shredding on Saturday, April 1 from 9 a.m.-Noon

Creek Clean-Up on Sunday, April 16 from 10 a.m.-Noon

Nature Storytime on Sunday, April 23 from 11 a.m.-11:45 a.m.

Earth and Arbor Day Celebration on Saturday, April 29 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

The OverDrive app will be sunset at the end of April 2023.

TEEN POET LAUREATE

Pleasanton Teen Poet Laureate, Tho Nguyen will host the Pleasanton Middle School Poetry Contest.

Incoming high school Juniors and Seniors, there's still time to apply to be the 2023-2024 Teen Poet Laureate!

TAX PREP

The Tri-Valley Career Center is offering free tax preparations to individuals and families who earned $75,000 or less in 2022.

AARP offers free tax preparation to persons ages 50+ at several Tri-Valley locations.

BOOK CLUB

Follow a Dakota family's struggle through several generations to preserve their way of life, and their sacrifices to protect what matters most.
