The Livermore-Amador Genealogical Society (L-AGS) docent is available at the Pleasanton Public Library by appointment, e-mail: mailto:[email protected].

The Pleasanton Genealogy Center, jointly supported by L-AGS, the Friends of the Pleasanton Library, and the Pleasanton Public Library, contains the largest collection of genealogy books, CDs and online databases in the Tri-Valley.

Friends of the Pleasanton Library:

The Friends of the Pleasanton Library are now accepting donations of gently used books, CDs, DVDs, LPs, games, and puzzles at the Member Services desk during open hours. Limit two grocery bags daily. 

For direct drop off at the book-sorting site:

  • Located at the BACK of 157 Main Street (south of Vic's All-Star Kitchen), on Mondays from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and Thursdays from 12:30-2:00 p.m. only

For large donations of books and other materials, or to make a special arrangement:

  • Fill out a Donation Scheduling Form 
  • Contact Friends of the Pleasanton Library Book Sale Manager Kate Roush at 913-481-8302 or contact Friends of the Pleasanton Library President Nancy Bering at 925-462-4368
