Hello Pleasanton Library members,

We have reached the final phase of the library roof replacement project! To receive updates on this project and the temporary April 17 through May 15 closure, please follow the Library Roof Replacement Project article.

Construction Resumes for Final Phase

Preparatory construction will begin on April 10 with the removal of the roofline windows. The library will remain open the week of April 10 but some areas directly beneath the windows will be closed, limiting access to some library materials and resources.

Temporary Library Closure – Four Weeks

The Library will close for four weeks starting Monday, April 17 through Monday, May 15 while the new roofline windows are installed. The Library is committed to providing the community with uninterrupted access to its materials, resources, and programs during the facility closure.

Services and Resources Provided During the April 17 - May 15 Closure:

 - Phone and email assistance for hold requests, account inquiries, online platforms, and digital resources
 - LINK+ services will continue during the closure
 - Extended due dates for all checked out materials (excludes LINK+ materials)
 - Sidewalk Service pickup for items placed on hold
 - Returns will be accepted in the Library book drop

Sidewalk Service and Phone/Email Service Hours Starting April 17:

Monday-Thursday - 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Friday-Saturday - 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Sunday - 1 p.m.-5 p.m.

Sidewalk Service Procedures Starting April 17:

 - Place items on hold through the Library Catalog or call the Library at 925-931-3400 extension 4
 - Look for email, text, or telephone confirmation that your items are “Ready for Pickup”
 - Once you have been notified that hold items are ready, call the Library at 925-931-3400 extension 2, during open hours at least 30 minutes before you plan to arrive. Library staff will locate your holds, check them out on your library    card, and place them outside for sidewalk pickup
 - When you arrive, find your checked out items on the tables outside the building
