8:00 p.m. An Evening with Daniel Emmet

A glorious evening of pop and classical crossover featuring Daniel Emmet, whose recent PBS special has thrilled audiences nationwide. Daniel is a 2018 America’s Got Talent finalist with multiple number 1 singles on iTunes.

He will be accompanied by an orchestra under the baton of Nolan Livesay.

8:00 p.m. Grand Finals of the Young Artists  Concerto Competition

The competition evening welcomes extraordinarily talented finalists as they compete for the prestigious competition’s top prize. The finals will be conducted under the music directorship of Roger Kalia, with scholarship awards generously provided by the Associates of the Redlands Bowl.

8:00 p.m. Air Force Band of the Golden West

Stationed at Northern California’s Travis Air Force Base, the Air Force Band of the Golden West is the only active duty Air Force band west of the Rockies, and is comprised of about 60 talented Airmen-musicians under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Cristina Moore Urrutia.

8:00 p.m. Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives

Marty Stuart is a five-time GRAMMY-winner, platinum recording artist, and Grand Ole Opry star. His teenage years on tour with bluegrass legend Lester Flatt in the ’70s were followed by six years in Johnny Cash’s band in the ’80s, and a chart-topping tenure as a solo artist.

Americana Women brings a sweeping celebration of American folk music from its earliest origins through its contemporary influence on rock and country. Tito Puente Jr. is on a passionate mission to nurture the musical legacy left by his father. It’s in the joyful music he brings to stages worldwide. This engagement will bring a passionate evening of Latin Jazz and a mambo-filled dance floor celebrating the legacy of one of the greatest Latin band leaders of all time.

After last year’s concert-halting thunder and lightning storm, we welcome the return of Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band, one of the most exciting jazz ensembles on the planet. The Phat Band takes the big band tradition into the new millennium with a contemporary, highly original sound featuring Grammy Winning Gordon Goodwin’s witty, intricate, and hard-swinging compositions in a wide array of musical styles.

Tuesday, August ?13, brings the iconic duo behind such hits as “Your Love is Lifting Me Higher” and “You Don’t Have to be a Star, Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr.” The two have received 7 Grammy Awards and earned 15 gold and 3 platinum records, performing for sold-out concerts worldwide, all following their years as part of the iconic group, The 5th Dimension, whose hits include “UP, UP & AWAY,” “LET THE SUNSHINE IN,” “WEDDING BELL BLUES,” and “ONE LESS BELL TO ANSWER.”

8:00 p.m. Fireworks Finale!

The 101st season of the Redlands Bowl Summer Music Festival to a close with the Redlands Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Ransom Wilson. The evening begins with an array of symphonic movie music, with special emphasis on the works of Danny Elfman—think Beetlejuice, Good Will Hunting, Avengers, and Mission Impossible. The concert evening will conclude Rachmaninoff’s glorious and sweeping 2nd piano concerto, for which we welcome Chaeyoung Park, a prestigious Juilliard Arthur Rubinstein Prize winner, who has performed with orchestras worldwide. As always, the evening and season will conclude with a brilliant burst of fireworks.
