The Pleasanton Library will be closed starting Monday, April 17 through Monday, May 15 while the new roofline windows are installed, as part of the final phase of the Library's Roof Replacement Project. The Library is committed to providing our community with access to its materials, resources, and programs during the closure. 

Services, Programs, and Resources Provided During the Closure

• Sidewalk Service pickup for items placed on hold 
• Phone and email assistance for hold requests, account inquiries, online platforms, and digital resources 
• LINK+ services will continue during the closure 
• Extended due dates for all checked out materials (excludes LINK+ materials) 
• Returns will be accepted through the external book drop
• Programs held at offsite locations and online. Library staff will host Storytimes at the Cultural Arts building, while the Book Club, Film Club, and Coding Club will continue to meet online. Check out the Events page for a full list of offsite and virtual programs.

Sidewalk Service and Phone/Email Assistance Hours During the Closure Will Be:

• Monday-Thursday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. 
• Friday-Saturday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. 
• Sunday: 1 p.m.-5 p.m. 

Sidewalk Service Procedure

• Place items on hold through the web catalog or call the Library at 925-931-3400 extension 4 
• Wait for an email, text, or telephone notification that your holds are “Ready for Pickup.” 
• Once you've received your notification, call the Library at 925-931-3400 extension 2, during open hours at least 30 minutes before you plan to arrive. Library staff will locate your holds, check them out on your library card, and place them on tables outside the building for sidewalk pickup.
• When you arrive, pick up your checked out items listed under your last name.
