The Woodland Opera House Weekly Newsletter - August 16, 2022

Arts and Entertainment

August 17, 2022

From: Woodland Opera House Theatre

Our Rising Stars Series production of Godspell, JR hit the stage this past Saturday for its debut, and what a debut it was! Our all youth cast (ages 11-16) did a fabulous job of interpreting the classic Broadway favorite, Godspell. Says director & choreographer, Andrea St. Clair, "The amount of talent we have onstage is incredible." And our audiences certainly agree!

Don't miss this very special show that has a distinct 1970s feel with a present day influence, and includes themes of a heartfelt message that is definitely more important than ever these days: kindness, tolerance, and love.

WOH at Yolo County Fair August 17 - 22

Going to the County Fair this week? If so, be sure to look for us there!

Several local history groups will be represented at the fair this year. Barbara Graham, creator of the WOH museum at the theatre, says, "They've banded together several groups to create a history

museum at the fair, and we'll be a part of it!" This is a great opportunity to share our historic building with more people who may not be familiar. Hours for the County Fair museum are: Wednesday from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m., Thursday & Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., and Saturday & Sunday from Noon to 9:00 p.m.

The museum will be located in the Security Building, tucked in between Waite Hall, the Ag Floral Building, and the Main Expo Building - see map pictured.

Many thanks to Barbara for her work on this project. Look for us at the fair while it's open August 17 - 22!
