The 2022-23 season is going to be one of our best ever! And first in the lineup from our Theatre For Families series is the fun show, Dear Edwina. From the creators of Junie B. Jones the Musical (another TFF classic!) Dear Edwina tells the story of Thirteen-year-old Edwina Spoonapple, who would do anything to be a part of the Kalamazoo Advice-a-Palooza Festival. Hailing from Paw Paw, Michigan, Edwina feels like both of her siblings have proven themselves by accomplishment but that she has nothing to show for herself! When a talent scout visits her hometown, Edwina take the opportunity, trots out her musical advice, and gives shows live from the family garage in hopes of finding her place in the spotlight.

This show is great for all ages and will make for a perfect family outing! Reserved seats are $20 for adults, $18 for seniors 62+, and $10 for children 17 and under. Youth Workshops
Workshops with Spaces Available

We have space available in several Fall Workshops! Don’t miss out on these fantastic offerings!

For the "littles" -
Fall Musical Theatre Workshop: Broadway Babies
(ages 3 to 4 years old)
This class culminates in 2 performances in December in our Fall Musical Theatre Workshop: "Rotten to the Core." It’s a villain themed workshop that is sure to excite participants of all ages! This class will be taught by Miss Lela Rose, who is a favorite of our littlest dancers and currently in our production of In the Heights!

Acting A to Z:
An acting class/workshop for those in 5th through 7th grade.
This acting workshop will include improvisation techniques, theatre games, scene study, and more! It’s a great way for students of all levels to work on their acting skills whether just for fun, to build confidence, or to prepare for their next show. This class is taught by Karen Fox (featured in our productions of Elf The Musical, Madagascar-A Musical Adventure, and our upcoming The Ghost of Woodland Opera House.)

Teen Acting Workshop:
An acting intensive for those in grades 8th through 12th.
Much like our Acting A to Z class, this class will look at acting more in-depth and challenge teen actors to become better actors. This will include scene work, monologues, and maybe even some classical theatre! The class will be taught by award-winning local director and drama teacher, Cheryl Watson. Ms. Watson is directing our upcoming production of A Christmas Story.
