Bye Bye Birdie

Purchase Tickets Online

As opening night approaches for our production of Bye Bye Birdie, you can feel the excitement in the air...and what a perfect show to kick off summer! It’s got all of the great stuff you expect from an Opera House musical comedy: top-notch acting, singing, dancing, and lots of laughs.

Inspired by the phenomenon of Elvis being drafted in the 1950s, Bye Bye Birdie follows teen heartthrob, Conrad Birdie (played by Erik Catalan), as he prepares to join the Army. As part of bidding farewell to his adoring public, Birdie travels to the small town of Sweet Apple, Ohio for his final television appearance and to share an on-air kiss with young local, Kim McAfee (played by Kate Kasten). As you can imagine, the whole town goes crazy and hilarious shenanigans ensue!

Performances will take place on Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2:00 p.m., June 17 - July 10. Tickets are on sale now at the button below or directly from our box office at 340 Second Street / (530) 666-9617. Hours: Tues. - Fri. from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. & 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Starting this week!

Musical Theatre Dance Workshop with Jeff Teague

Every performer needs to keep skills sharp and honed for auditions, rehearsals, and performances, so why not join a class that is structured for the performing artist? This class is designed to challenge both the novice and experienced dancer by offering different styles of musical theatre dance weekly along with helpful feedback for performers to grow successfully as they await their next opportunity to audition and/or perform.

See what people say about Jeff and this class:

“Jeff made the (class) very welcoming, relaxed, and stress free – something I haven’t felt before when attempting to dance in front of others!” - Shane Burrows about Musical Theatre Dance

“Jeff's class is enjoyable and interactive. He makes a point not only to assess each dancer individually but provide specific feedback for each student. The choreography is simple enough that even a novice could learn, yet still challenging for those who have had previous dance experience. I have learned a great deal from him!” – Irma Weldon, Musical Theatre Dance
