Atascadero Senior Center

5905 East Mall St.
(805) 466-4674

The Atascadero Senior Center has opened back up a few months ago and is trying to catch some momentum. We're really looking forward to increasing our members. Right now we're offering Tai Chi 3 days a week as well as things such as Bunco and an occasional arts and crafts group. In October 2021 we're starting a Hand and Foot (card game) group.

There's also a Qi Gong group and we're working on getting the Socrates Cafe Discussion group going again as well. We're also trying to get the movie group started again in November. The Senior Center does some other great things as well. We loan out assistive equipment such as wheel chairs, walkers and canes to seniors at no cost. We have a large list of community resources for just about anything seniors need help with. There's information on federal, state and local programs. We also have a small library where

people can borrow books and videos. People can also come in to play board games or do puzzles as well. Right next door is the Meals That Connect Program. It's a program that provides meals to seniors at a minimal cost. In some cases they can even deliver. Elizabeth runs the program for senior meals and she's absolutely amazing. The Senior Meals program can be reached at: (805) 466-2317

For more information and current updates you can check out our Facebook page. It's called "Atascadero Senior Center." We can also be reached at (805) 466-4674. The Atascadero Senior Center is located downtown by the Sunken Gardens at 5905 East Mall. Membership is only $10.00 a year. If you visit the Senior Center on Mondays

you'll probably get to meet Ranger The Bodacious Beach Dog! There's more information about the Atascadero Senior Center available on our Facebook page:
