Birchwood Recreation & Shooting Park is a non-profit corporation run by a board of directors that is elected by the membership. The park is located 2.5 miles from the Glenn Highway on the North Birchwood exit, adjacent to the Birchwood Airport.

Established in 1964 on 72 acres, the park is Alaska’s largest private shooting facility. Currently, the club includes eight rifle and pistol ranges. Our shortest range will allow shooting as close as 7 yards. The longest range will allow you to shoot out to 300 meters. Currently two ranges have heat and lighting for night shooting. The shotgun range has 5 trap, 4 skeet, 3 Five-Stand and a 100-target sporting clay walk -through course. Twelve of these fields are lighted for night shooting. All ranges are available for EPM members from 7am to 10pm, and public shooting during business hours or can be reserved for club use by scheduling in advance with the Range Officer.

The park offers RV parking for up to 24 campers on a first come first served basis. The RV park has water and electric hookups.

Due to insurance requirements, all shooters must be members. As a requirement for membership, each person will be provided with BRSP Safety & Range Rules. Prior to shooting, each member must acknowledge that they have read and understand the posted rules.
