History

Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego has a long and distinguished history of service to disadvantaged youth dating back to the early 1940's. Our history is one of growth and expansion involving several mergers and the addition of new Clubs spanning more than sixty years.

In 2001, two of the largest Boys & Girls Club Organizations in San Diego (the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Diego and Boys & Girls Clubs United) merged to form the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego.
