We are proud to be part of the Plumas Unified School District. Our 480 plus kindergarten through sixth-grade students are totally awesome and are embarking on a journey of quality education that promotes academic excellence as well as character development. Employing a variety of instructional strategies, educators provide an integrated curriculum in alignment with the California Academic Content Standards and current learning and instructional theories.

Character Counts, Second Step, Artists in the Schools, School to Career, music with chorus and band, Reading Recovery, and Buddies exemplify a few of the superior programs offered during the school day. In addition, before and after school extensions provide assistance in reading, math, and homework. We also provide summer school during the off-season.

Students entering kindergarten will need a physical exam and a birth certificate. ALL students are required to show proof of updated immunizations. The bare minimum for kindergartner immunizations include:
5 DTP,4 Polio, 3 Hepatitis B, 2 MMR, and 1 Varicella (Chicken Pox).

Parents and community volunteers work closely with teachers to best meet the needs of our students.
