Mission State or Main Objective of the Department
The City of Baldwin Park is a general law city incorporated on January 25, 1956, it is governed by a City Council/ Chief Executive Officer form of government. The residents elect a five member City Council and elect a mayor every two years. The Chief Executive Officer ensures that City Council policies and directives are carried out and provides support to the City Council in the areas of municipal management, public and intergovernmental relations, and special projects. The CEO is responsible for providing leadership, direction and supervision to all City departments. The CEO also oversees Personnel Services, Housing Authority, Financing Authority and Risk Management programs.
