Mission

The Mission of the Durham Unified School District is to empower each student to achieve his/her potential to be a knowledgeable, productive, responsible citizen who is a life-long learner, and is able to function successfully, with integrity, in a changing complex world. Since its founding in 1922, Durham schools have maintained high academic standards, enrolling some 1,200 talented, energetic and diverse students. This section of the Website provides a general introduction to the administrative functions of the district.
