Fort Hartford Muzzleloaders

We would like to extend the right hand of peace and welcome you to the Fort Hartford Muzzleloaders. We are a primitive gun club, meaning we use black powder guns that are flintlock or percussion, and we dress in pre-1840s style attire. We strive for period correct, Granny-approved, long sleeved, long skirts, 189 layers, well maybe a little exaggerated there, but you get the idea. Many of our members have patterns that they will be glad to lend and to help you get started in this exciting hobby. We make most of what we wear and there are a lot of folk in the club that have knowledge of sewing and materials used in the making of 18th century clothing.

Too, there are many good shooters in our club. Sadly, I am not one of them. I did see Pat take one shot that split the ball and hit two targets at one time. That was amazing to me. I would not want to mess with him. Besides, he likes big things that boom, big boom, like canons, motars and such. Other than that, he is a heck of a nice guy.
