About Us:

Serving over 2500 pupils in the East San Fernando Valley, Madison provides a strong foundation of essential skill building in language arts, math, science, and social studies complemented by an impressive array of exploratory programs in performing arts, technology, industrial arts and foreign languages.

As well, our Medical Magnet provides a comprehensive exposure to the many career opportunities in health and medical science, enriching a full academic program with field trips, community service programs at health facilities, and professional speakers from all branches of medicine.

We serve a diverse population of 65% Hispanic, 25% Armenian and 10% mixed ethnicity families; each year 20-30% of our young people are in the process of learning English.

Our challenge is to bring all pupils into the mainstream of academic achievement, preparing students for high school success through a broad exploratory and basic skills curriculum.

Madison's excellent faculty annually welcomes all families hopeful of a sound academic foundation for their children enhanced by courses which tap into and develop many creative talents in the exciting years of mid-adolescence.

Other noteworthy programs at Madison include the Title 1 and Magnet Mac Labs, our 16 module Technology Lab, 300 student Instrumental and Choral Music Program, Algebra for Everyone, a strong three-year Gifted and Honors framework, schoolwide silent reading, a full after-school Youth Services and tutoring schedule, membership in the Madison Community Collaborative Healthy Start Initiative and our Parent Center.
