About Us:

The Geauga Campus is one of the seven regional campuses of the Kent State University system and is strategically, conveniently, and centrally located on 87 acres of land in the approximate geographic center of Geauga County. Founded in 1964 and located in Burton, Ohio, it is 30 miles east of Cleveland, 25 miles north of Warren, and about 40 miles northeast of Kent, home of the main campus. The campus is the only institution of higher learning in the county, which is one of the fastest growing in the state of Ohio. The county has a lot of growth potential and opportunity for the Geauga Campus. The campus is positioning itself for that growth.

Serving over 900 students, the Geauga Campus provides its students in its service area with quality academic instruction in several key areas. It provides a wide variety of liberal education courses and 2+2 type programs leading to baccalaureate degrees. Every effort is made to assure success by providing basic skills with computer testing, developmental education courses, tutoring in selected subjects, and reasonable accommodations for the learning disabled and for those with physical handicaps.
