Kingsburg Elementary Charter School District

1310 Stroud Avenue
559-897-2331

Vision

The district's vision includes fostering a team atmosphere with the community for the benefit of the student. It is committed to preserving the traditional small-town atmosphere by promoting high expectations and nurturing success within a safe school environment. The district promotes, through its Charter, both parent involvement with the education of their child and giving them classroom choices through the 'internal voucher system' as described above to allow parents become active partners in their child's future. Research and common sense illustrate that this parent involvement will make a positive difference in student achievement. The areas of academics, behavior, social relationships, character development, and physical well-being will be the focus. It is the vision for each student to become a life-long learner and productive citizen, leading a fulfilled life. Included in the vision of the Charter is the drive to enable students to become educated citizens who will be literate, have problem solving skills, be self-motivated, able to utilize technology, and become socially responsible. The district's educational plan consists of a broad range of goals and objectives to meet the educational needs of all students. These goals and objectives are enumerated in the district's Academic Standards. These standards are living documents reflecting the dynamic changes evident in today's society, the state's frameworks, and the needs of our students to become participants in a growing global economy.
