Kiwanis Club of San Fernando

PO Box: 1005

History

The Kiwanis Club of San Fernando was chartered on December 29, 1922 by it's official sponsor the Lankershim Kiwanis Club. The club meetings begin on January of 1923 and membership has included many community, professional and business leaders of the San Fernando area. Our projects include helping families during the depresion era, sending food to the dustbowl region of the mid-west, and sponsoring youth organizations, including the first Boy Scout troop in San Fernando. Kiwanis has helped raise funds for eradication of Iodine Deficiency Disorder, Mend, Wave, Holy Cross Hospital, Tattto Removal Clinic, park revitalization of San Fernando Park, graffiti removal, San Fernando Police Department DARE Project, youth fishing trips, and many other projects that better our community. These programs have made a difference in our community, especially the youth. Because of the last 84 years of Kiwanis presence here in San Fernando, the city and its residents enjoy a better quality of life. We invite you to come join us in our project and share in the fellowship that is kiwanis.
