Our Vision

A family of believers following Jesus together

As a family we long to be a group of people that are united in love and purpose. Our purpose is to give God glory in all we do. No family is perfect or without struggles. Recognizing our own brokenness we welcome honesty among ourselves so that we don’t have to hide what is going on in our lives (I John 1:9; 2:28). A healthy Chrisitan family exhibits unconditional love while encouraging Christlike values and actions (Colossians 3:1-17). Family is what the church is supposed to be (Galatians 6:6-10).

Believers are those that have put their faith and trust in the finished work of Jesus on the cross—death, burial, and resurrection. (John 1:9-13; 3:16; 20:31) We hold that a believer loves the Lord with all of their heart, soul and mind (Matthew 22:37-38). As we trust Jesus as our Lord and Savior, he is the source of authority in our lives and has saved us from sin (Titus 2:13-14; Jude 24-25).

Following Jesus is the call for Christians everywhere. We give God glory by living life to the fullest in Jesus through the Holy Spirit. That means forsaking our sins and submitting to the authority of Christ (Matthew 10; Mark 8). As a family together in Christ, we are stronger to face the adversity that this life has for us. Our goal is that no one would walk the Christian life alone. We are one body with  many members. No member is greater or lesser than any other (1 Corinthians 12:12-13). A brick alone does not consitute a brick building but being built together with other bricks forms a structure (Ephesians 2:13-22). So likewise we exist to be built up with one another as the church family (Colossians 2:6-7).

Our Mission

We believe that we will be a church like the church described in Acts if we are dedicated to making disciples. In Matthew 28 Jesus tells His disciples to go and make disciples. A disciple is someone one who learns who Jesus is and what Jesus did and is dedicated to becoming more like Jesus. This requires that we have a discipleship process that allows us to make disciples that are continuing to grow in being like Jesus.
