Message of Peace International Church
Message of Peace Christian Center of the Assemblies of God (dba Message of Peace International Church) began in 1984 as an ethnic-Portuguese church in the city of San Jose. The present pastor, Fernando Carvalho, started the church.
It began as a home missions unincorporated church under the auspices of the Northern California and Nevada District of the Assemblies of God. In 1988 it purchased its present church building in San Jose seating 200 people.
The church was incorporated on September 21st, 1993 as a nonprofit organization in the state of California. As a nonprofit organization it is exempt from taxation under section 510 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue service.
