Napa Junction Elementary School is situated in American Canyon in the southern reaches of the Napa Valley. We are one of two elementary schools in this rapidly growing community, with its hundreds of homes in the building or planning stages. In the last seven years, nine portable classrooms have been placed on campus to house our expanding population of 600 students in preschool through fifth grade. There are twenty-five classrooms of regular education students and a special-day classroom for learning handicapped students. The school currently has two sessions of preschool and an on-site daycare facility. In May of 2002, we were awarded the distinction of being a California Distinguished School.
