North Tahoe Public Utility District

875 National Avenue
530-546-4212

The North Tahoe Public Utility District (NTPUD) was founded in 1948 to provide sewer services to the residents of the north shore of Lake Tahoe. The District’s boundaries range from the Nevada state line in Crystal Bay to Dollar Hill. Our service area includes the communities of Kings Beach, Tahoe Vista, Brockway Vista, Carnelian Bay, Cedar Flat and Agate Bay.

Over the course of the following 25 years, water and recreation services were added to the District’s responsibility. The District manages and maintains most of the public beaches in our service area as well as the North Tahoe Regional Park in Tahoe Vista.

Mission Statement:
To provide sewer and water service, consistent with standards set for public health, safety, and the environment in an efficient and accountable manner. Provide recreation and parks facilities for the use and enjoyment of residents and visitors alike and promote local recreation programs. Continue an awareness of the economic role of the District within the North Tahoe area.
