The Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society's signature community event. The event is a unique concept that involves teams who take turns walking, running or strolling around a track over a 24 hour period. The teams consist of individuals representing families, friends, businesses, organizations, clubs, and schools. Teams fundraise to raise money for education, advocacy, research and services provided to cancer patients and their families for free. Over the 24 hour period we celebrate our cancer survivors and caregivers, remember those we lost and promise to fight back 365 days out of the year. Currently we are looking for volunteers to form teams or join the committee to help plan the event scheduled for August 27 - 28, 2011. We are also looking for sponsors for this event.
