Founded in 1984, Soroptimist International of San Ramon Valley (SISRV) is part of an international organization of almost 100,000 business and professional women in 120 countries, who work to improve the lives of women and girls, locally and throughout the world. SISRV holds the annual "She's All That!" one-day conference for middle school girls and their parents, aimed at helping girls adjust during a time of rapid physical and emotional change. Other on-going service projects include sponsoring a young women's service club, called S-Club, on campus at California High School in San Ramon, mentoring girls in a local group home, awarding grants to women and girls making a difference in their communities and fundraising to support other non-profits aligned with our organization's mission, such as Contra Costa Crisis Center, Discovery Counseling Center, Tri Valley Haven, Operation School Bell and Bundles of Joy.
