The parks and recreational facilities within the City of South Pasadena are valued and highly regarded by South Pasadena’s citizens. Community parks provide open space and a place to go for active recreation or passive enjoyment of the outdoors. Neighborhood parks and playgrounds within the City of South Pasadena are designed to serve for family recreation within a convenient distance from home. Currently there are 92.2 acres of parks within the City of South Pasadena. The majority of this acreage (73.9 acres) is located in Arroyo Seco Park in the northwest portion of the City. Five other parks exist within the City boundaries: Garfield Park, Eddie Park, Library Park, Orange Grove Park, and War Memorial Park.
