About Us:

St. Joseph Church is a resort community parish serving all of Mono County. Our Church is located in Mammoth Lakes. Our Missions are located in Lee Vining and Bridgeport, with a Chapel in Coleville.

Our Parish is made up of full-time parishioners, second homeowners, and visitors from all over the world. The full-time parishioners are a small group and this population tends to have a higher turnover than most parishes due to the nature of the recreational economy. Parish capacity has been directed to accommodating the large part-time parishioner population as well as the local members. Thus, the Parish is reliant on the generosity of its part-time parishioners to heat the Church and missions, blow the snow and make repairs. Our Priest has only a part-time staff person, so please be patient when calling in to schedule sacraments, appointments or to ask questions.
