SPNS is a parent participation, cooperative nursery school. It is a non-profit, non-sectarian, democratic organization where each family shares in the planning and operation of the school.  The efforts of the parents and their direct involvement during the school day make this nursery school a unique educational endeavor.  The child gains the ability to relate and communicate with other children, as well as adults.  They experience a variety of play equipment, expressive materials and media, resulting in a posative attitude toward learning.  The parents gain an opportunity to learn and develope with their child(ren) as well as an increased awareness of the role of education in developing an effective and satisfying family life. As a result, the community gains children who have learned respect for others and families with a sense of community responsibility.
