About Us

Now in its 17th season, the Malibu Coast Music Festival has become a beloved staple of the Malibu and Los Angeles arts communities. Bringing world-class music, architecture, dance, and visual arts to its audiences, the Malibu Coast Music Festival is proud to present musicians, architects, and artists from around the world on our intimate festival stage.

The Malibu Coast Music Festival is hosted annually at The Montgomery Arts House for Music and Architecture (MAHMA). Nestled in the beautiful foothills overlooking Zuma Beach in Malibu, California, MAHMA is home to extraordinary classical music, silent film with live music, and vocal music in a unique space designed by Eric Lloyd Wright, grandson of the "Father of American Architecture," architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

This extraordinary venue was designed specifically for music performance and recording, and offers three separate venues within the home. Past programming at MAHMA has featured a monthly chamber music series, world-class chamber orchestra performances, collaborative chamber ballet, a vintage silent film festival with live music, and the Malibu Coast Music Festival each summer.

The Malibu Coast Music Festival is made possible through the umbrella of the Malibu Friends of Music - The non-profit arts organization which sponsors all concert programming, hospitality, and education held at MAHMA.
