History:

In July of 1989, the Lord placed Stardust Bible Church on the heart of Pastor Allen H. Herr.  The Southwest Conservative Baptist Church of America invited Pastor Herr to start a church in Sun City West, and after much prayer, the invitation was accepted. In January 1990, thousands of phone calls were made to area residents.  The first publicly announced meeting was held on Sunday, March 11, at the R. H. Johnson Recreation Center Lecture Hall.  There were 14 in attendance, including Pastor Herr and his wife, Eileen.   Of that original 14, six still  attend today.  On April 24, “Celebration Sunday,” 24 were present–the largest group assembled up to that time. A midweek Prayer and Bible Study service in homes was initiated. Sunday evening services were also started, and all services were held in the Lecture Hall.
