Wayland Baptist University - Fairbanks was established in 1985 at Eielson Air Force Base as an extension of the Alaska campus in Anchorage. It became an independent campus location in 1999. The campus administrative office is located at Eielson Air Force Base, 2623 Wabash Avenue, Suite 109.The campus also has an office at Ft. Wainwright Army Post in association with the Education Services Offices at that military installation.
