Celebrating 117 years of delicious melons grown in Green River, Utah.

Green River Melons are on! Pick one up at our Growers stands along Green River Main St. 

Green River Utah's annual Melon Days Festival, now 117 years old, is a celebration of our town's famously tasty melon varieties and their growers. Our rural town's population swells as locals,  family,  friends and visitors come together for a weekend of melon-munching fun.

3-MAN SCRAMBLE TOURNAMENT

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 15th

- $270.00 per team (includes fees & cart):

-$90 for individual.

?- 35% of combined handicaps

- No more than 10 between partners

- Max handicap 24

- UGA or established handicap required

SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT

FRIDAY & SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 15th-16th

 Men’s & Coed | Entry Fee: $350

 - Teams must be registered

- Standard USSSA rules apply

- Special rules will be posted at all fields

- Four game guarantee

-Two 2 -pitch pool play games

- Double Elimination

- Games will be 7 innings or up to one hour long

-Includes 3 Balls and Umpires

-Includes 2 Home Run Bracelets

- Co-ed will start Friday | Men’s will start Saturday

Children's Entrepreneur Market

FRIDAY,  SEPTEMBER 15th | 5 PM - 8 PM 

Whether it’s a lemonade stand or a lawn-mowing service, children love learning how to earn money!  This event will help your children experience the wonder of entrepreneurship.

Wild West Dancin'

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 15th | 8 PM – 9:30 PM

?Come spend an evening and enjoy some Wild West Barn Dancing.  Anyone ages 10 and up can do it!   We teach all the dances on the spot so everyone can have a great time together.  At this Barn Dance you’ll get to try your hand at Lines Dances, Round Dances, Prairie Dances, Contra Dances, Cowboy Dances, and some Square Dancing too.  If you live in the West, but have never tried western dancing, then this is the perfect time to do so.  Come learn and laugh and mix with people in a relaxed but high energy environment.  Just bring a partner, some western threads and duds, your boots, and a smile.

?Again - we teach you everything!  Just come and have a good time!  Don’t Miss Out!

The parade lineup will begin at the City Maintenance Building (545 West Main) across from NAPA, and will end at the Book Cliff Lodge (735 East Main). Participants must line up by 9:30 AM.

MELON CARVING CONTEST

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 16th

Melon Carvings must be carved from Local Melons. You may submit pictures of your carved Melons starting Sept 1st to [email protected] 

Those who wish to display their Melons at the Park may bring them to the City Booth by 10:00am Saturday Sept 17th. Both Virtual and Day of Melons will be added to the Contest. Winner receives a cash Prize of $100!

1. Photo MUST contain a Green River Melon. Watermelon, cantaloupe, Honey Dew, etc.

2. Contest begins NOW.  Submit Photo by September 18th @ 10:00 AM

4. Acknowledge that your photo submissions may be used for future event advertising.

5. ONLY one photo per submission
