From: Native American Arts Festival

Superstition Mountain Museum is excited to present an event celebrating Native American culture. The two-day Native American Arts Festival features awe-inspiring dance, storytellers, artisans showcasing their unique creations and talented musicians playing Native Flute and acoustic guitar.

Featured performers are the world-famous Yellow Bird Apache Hoop Dancers. The Museum is very fortunate to have them on our stage, as well as storyteller Ken Duncan of Yellow Bird Productions.

From the Pueblo of Zuni in New Mexico, Fernando Cellicion will lead Traditional Zuni Dancers. Also performing, from the Arizona White Mountain Tribe, will be Belford Chissay and the Apache Mountain Spirit Dance Group. Additional dance groups have been invited and will be announced soon.

Numerous traditional and contemporary tribal-registered Native American artisans will be at the festival showcasing their work in a Master Craftsman space. The artists will visit with attendees and provide insights associated with their art.

Special guests from the various 21 tribes of Arizona will include Tribal Royalty and  color guards from Salt River Veterans Bushmasters on Saturday and San Carlos Apache Veterans on Sunday.

This event is a family-friendly and educational event offering tremendous photographic and shopping opportunities. Admission fee is $10 per person with kids under 10 admitted free.
