If the kids around Rossville have returned to school and the summer is rapidly giving way to fall colors – it must surely be “Summer’s End Festival” time.

3 fireworks explosions, one red, one orange, one blueEach year Rossville celebrates the end of Summer with a festival.  It takes place the fourth full weekend in August.  Even though COVID is still an issue, the festival at the current time is going on as planned.  There will be entertainment on the main stage on Saturday evening.  The Queen Pageant, Lil Miss/Mister and Cutest Baby Contest have returned to Friday evening.  There is discussion of adding some new things this year.  Carnival rides will not be on the schedule this year.  Some of the many events include a car show, golf tournament, fireworks,  street fair, parade,  Hornet Hustle 5K Walk/Run, lots of food, and town wide garage sales.  See the Summer’s End Festival Schedule for more details.  Friendships and family ties are renewed each year as several class and family reunions are held during this busy weekend.

All day parking at the town park will be $5.00 this year. Only service animals are allowed.  Pedestrian traffic only permitted in the town park with the exception of handicapped devices.

Families and out of town visitors have made the Summer’s End Festival a part of their end of the summer plans. As our town motto states – “Rossville is a place where you feel at home.” Come home and see what all the excitement is about.

8am - 5pm: Summer's End Festival Craft/Business/Flea Market Vendors at Rossville Town Park

12pm- 9pm: Summer's End Festival Food Court at Rossville Town Park

6pm-7:30pm: Hornet Hustle 5K Fun Run/Walk at Rossville Town Park Pavilion
Race Day Check-In for the Hornet Hustle 5K Run/Walk is from 4:15 p.m.. – 5:30 p.m..  It is located at the  at 250 N East St.  This is located at the Rossville Town Park Pavilion.  Parking is available at the Rossville Town Park.  For more details and to pre-register, go to www.hornethustle.com.

7pm: Cutest Baby Contest, Lil’ Miss and Mister Contest, and the Queen Pageant at Rossville Town Park Pavilion Porch

7:30pm: Summer's End Festival Annual Calk Walk at Rossville Town Park-Pavilion - Free
This will be located at the Town Park Pavilion.  Fun for all ages.  Cake Walk is open to all and will immediately follow the queen, little  miss/mister, and cutest baby contests.

6am - 9am: Rossville Volunteer Fire Department Pancake and Sausage Breakfast at Rossville Volunteer Fire Department
This is a free will donation-all you can eat pancake and sausage breakfast to help purchase equipment for the department.  The RVFD will also be delivering orders to the Town Park.

7am - 4pm: Rossville Golf Tournament at Angel Hill Golf Course
7:00 a.m.-7:45 a.m. registration
8:00 a.m. Shotgun Start

10am: Summer's End Festival Parade at Starts at Rossville School
Come see the Summer’s End Parade on Saturday, August 27, 2022 featuring the Grand Marshal, several floats (for class reunions, organizations, business, churches, and more), multiple bands, decorated golf carts, horses, llamas, fire trucks, ambulance, antique tractors, antique cars, and more. Parade starts at 10:00 a.m., see map below for parade route. Line up is at 8:45 a.m. at the Rossville school.
