South St. Paul Parks & Recreation invites you to join us February 4th - 10th while we celebrate our 3rd Annual Flannel Fest! We have some exciting events planned to get you out and about in your coziest flannels!

Flapjacks and Flannels

Croatian Hall, 445 2nd Ave S | February 4th | 9am - 11:30am | Cost: Children $5, Adults $10

We’re kicking off Flannel Fest at the Croatian Hall on Sunday, February 4th! Wear your finest flannel for our fabulous flapjacks, eggs and sausage breakfast! Proceeds will be donated to the Parks and Recreation Youth Program scholarships.

Flannel Fest Forager

February 5 - 9th

Get those snow boots and gloves out! We’re going on a quest! Monday, February 5th, the first clue of the snow series medallion hunt will be released at noon. Subsequent clues will be released each day at noon through February 9th, or until the medallion has been found. Check out our website or Facebook page for rules and daily clues.

Hotdish Showdown

Come one, come all! We have a delicious and hearty cook-off for you! Judging will be done by everyone through popular vote/secret ballot. Tasting/judging will begin at 5pm and winners will be announced at 7pm. Tell your friends and family to come along to help vote for your favorite recipe!

1. Any type of Hotdish is welcome!
2. Hotdish should be served in a 6-quart crockpot ONLY - We wouldn’t want anyone running out of hotdish to serve while others are still giving out samples!
3. Hotdish makers are REQUIRED to bring their own extension cord - We will supply outlets and power.
4. Registrants are responsible for transportation and food safety practices.
5. Dakota County requires all hotdish that is NOT made in a commercial kitchen to be labeled “This product is homemade and not subject to state inspection”.
6. Labels must include the maker’s name and address in which the hotdish was prepared.
7. Samples are available only as supplies last.

Starlight Skate & Sled

Jefferson Park, 125 21st Ave N | Feb 10th | 5pm - 7pm

Bring your skates, sleds, and bowling boots! Enjoy the sledding hill, ice rink, and try a game of ice bowling. South St. Paul Police department will be serving hot cocoa!

Babe's Boot Hockey Tournament

Jefferson Park, 125 21st Ave N | Feb 10th | 10am

Rules

Join us for some friendly competition by participating in one of Minnesota’s greatest winter activities: (boot) hockey! Our 3nd annual adult boot hockey tournament will take place February 10th! Tournament Play will begin at 10:00am; tournament format will depend on the number of teams that register. See full rules on our website or Facebook page. $100 tournament fee must be paid in full before 1st game.

FREE for spectators.
