AYC FOUNDATION AWARDS MARITIME GRANT TO ANNAPOLIS MARITIME MUSEUM & PARK [AMM]

The Annapolis Yacht Club Foundation recently awarded a $10,000 Maritime Grant to Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park [AMM] supporting on-the-water experiences for the Box of Rain [BOR] participants year-round and for years to come. The funds will expand AMM’s kayak fleet and enable lifeguard certifications for the 2023 BOR Summer Maritime Program counselors.

The BOR Summer Maritime Program allows children to experience quintessential Bay activities such as fishing, crabbing, kayaking, as well as traditional camp activities.

“The Annapolis Yacht Club Foundation is pleased to continue our support of the Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park and the Box of Rain program,” said Matt Schubert, President of the AYC Foundation. “The program fits squarely within the Foundation’s mission and we wish all those who participate the best of time and hope it garners a lifetime of love for our rich maritime heritage.”
