Dr. Ritterbush's talk will cover the evolution of the Annapolis Harbor, the City Dock, and the surrounding marketplace over a 150-year period as it went through one major change after another, shifting from a working waterfront to a community of pleasure boats. He will also discuss how these changes were intimately connected to the broader history of the Chesapeake Bay.

Here at AMM, we are proud of our rich maritime history and want you to experience it. Join us as we learn about the maritime alphabet and how flags are used for communication today and back when the pirates ruled the Chesapeake Bay. We will name the parts of a boat in a fun outdoor activity as well as build and test out our own mini boats on the creek.
