MUSEUM CLOSED DUE TO FLOODING UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

On January 9th Annapolis Maritime Museum (AMM) took in 18 inches of floodwaters. Thankfully, devoted volunteers contributed to a successful preparation of the storm and the contents were spared. However water infiltrated the walls and major repairs to the building are in order. The flood was the 3rd highest the museum has endured and AMM has made it a strategic priority to develop short term and long term solutions to sea-level rise. AMM would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our community and volunteers, for the steadfast support and dedication. 2024 BOX OF RAIN BUILD A BOAT PROGRAM COMMENCES

Every Saturday morning beginning January 13th this winter our Box of Rain kids will construct a boat from a Chesapeake Light Craft kit using their STEAM skills with the guidance of our education staff and volunteers.

NEW ART EXHIBIT FEATURING JAMES RONAYNE AND KIMMY STEVENSON

Two rising senior students at local high schools are our featured artists this month through February 11th. James has worked closely with several non-profits, is an established oyster gardener, CBF Student Leadership Council member and Oyster Ambassador. Kimmy is a Student Liaison for the Board of Directors of Maryland Federation of Art and the founder and President of the ICS Art Club with a passion for visual arts. Though our museum is closed, browse our website for more on the students and their exhibit.
